Spam protection with Google reCAPTCHA

To make sure your inquiry reaches me and doesn't get lost in a flood of spam, I use Google reCAPTCHA. Here is an open explanation of what happens.

    Go to the inquiry form

    What does reCAPTCHA do?

reCAPTCHA checks in the background whether a person or a bot is filling in the form. You don't have to click on any images. Google returns a score; very low scores are treated as spam.

What data is sent to Google?

Among other things your IP address, browser and device details, language, screen size, mouse movements and time spent on the page, plus cookies set by Google. I never send your name, email address or message to Google.

    When does this happen?

Only after your active consent. Before each inquiry form you can agree to Google reCAPTCHA or decline. It then loads when needed for venue search or submission. Visiting this page alone does not load reCAPTCHA.

    Who is Google?

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google may also transfer data to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

    Legal basis

Your voluntary consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG for access to your device. Your choice applies to this browser tab and is independent of marketing cookies.

    Don't want this?

Email or call me directly without reCAPTCHA. You can withdraw consent here or before the form at any time. The page reloads to stop previously loaded Google code; unsent entries will be lost. Withdrawal applies to future processing.
